The Equine Center has an extensive range of video endoscopes, with sizes suitable for the smallest foal and the largest horse.
These allow direct visualization of a range of internal structures including the upper airways and larynx, the trachea and bronchi, the stomach and proximal small intestine, the uterus, bladder and urethra. In most cases these examinations can be performed while the horse is standing. Abnormalities can be identified and, when necessary, samples collected for further analysis. Poor performance, ulcers and reproductive issues are all indications for video endoscopy.
