Horse Boarding & Rehabilitation Center
Rehabilitation Center
Our goal in developing our sports medicine and rehabilitation programs were to use scientific knowledge gained in both human and equine medicine to raise the standard of care and performance of the athletic horse.
The Equine Center is outfitted with a team of experienced sports medicine staff and veterinarians that work alongside owners, trainers, farriers and other horse professionals to evaluate a horse’s condition and their physical potential so we can design the most appropriate course of action to meet the owners goals whether that is a return from injury or a maintenance plan for fitness. The program has successfully rehabilitated many injuries such as tendons, ligaments, joint and back pain as well as recoveries from surgical procedures. The Equine Center’s rehabilitation program’s treadmill is also utilized by local show and event horses as an addition to their conditioning program to enhance their horse’s top line and over all fitness.

BOARDING
When it comes to finding a great place to live, the mantra has always been “location, location, location”. Here on the Centra lCoast, and specifically in EdnaValley, we couldn’t be more fortunate. When it comes to good horse-keeping, however, we have our own mantra, “location, facilities, management”. The Equine Center is proud to offer all three at their finest.
When Boarding your horse at TEC, take comfort in the knowledge that your horse resides at a full service veterinary hospital presided over by experienced staff who keep their own horses on the property (often riding during their lunch breaks). All boarded horses receive Strongid C2x daily de-worming as part of their regular feed program at no additional charge. Horses are fed three times a day; breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Boarders have access to many of the same amenities as the rehabilitation center. Pasture boarding and 12×24 pipe pens are available. The pipe pens are half covered and bedded with straw or shavings, offering a range from basic board (feed/cleaning) to full service boarding (blanketing, turnout, ect.) Daily services including blanketing, turnout, hot walker and supplement feeding are available for those busy days that you can’t get to the barn.
Facility includes a jumping arena, flat arena, round pen, conditioning trail around perimeter of property, hot walker, limited tack lockers, trailer parking and treadmill services. We maintain a friendly atmosphere with a mixture of college students and professionals including pleasure, dressage, and event riders. We are located 10 minutes from Cal Poly.
